Position Overview

The Director of Growth and Revenue Development is a senior leadership role responsible for advancing PLN’s mission through fundraising, marketing, and social enterprise expansion. This role will design and implement strategies that grow philanthropic investment, elevate brand awareness, and scale PLN’s revenue-generating initiatives—including the coffee shop enterprise. The Director will be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on builder, working in collaboration with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and staff to ensure financial sustainability and mission impact.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Development (50%)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, and donor stewardship.

  • Manage a portfolio of donors, ensuring consistent engagement, timely communication, and relationship cultivation.

  • Partner with the Executive Director and Board on major fundraising initiatives and campaigns.

  • Design systems for donor acquisition, retention, and recognition.

Social Enterprise Growth (20%)

  • Support the strategic expansion of PLN’s coffee shop and other social enterprise initiatives (additional social enterprises in development phase).

  • Identify and develop new revenue streams aligned with PLN’s mission and community needs.

  • In partnership, enhance business planning, financial performance, and growth strategies for the social enterprises, ensuring profitability and mission impact.

  • Create strategic marketing and community strategies to growth social enterprises.

Marketing & Communications (20%)

  • Oversee PLN’s brand strategy, storytelling, and marketing efforts.

  • Build and implement campaigns that engage donors, volunteers, and the broader Nashville community.

  • Manage digital presence including website, social media, and email communication.

  • Elevate PLN’s public profile through media, partnerships, and community engagement.

Leadership & Collaboration (10%)

  • Serve on the senior leadership team, contributing to overall organizational strategy and decision-making.

  • Supervise staff or contractors in development, marketing, and enterprise development functions.

  • Support a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in fundraising, revenue development, or business growth.

  • Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and growing organizational revenue.

  • Strong background in business development or social enterprise management, ideally (not required) in food & beverage or retail.

  • Marketing and communications expertise with proven results in building brand awareness.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and ability to thrive in a dynamic, faith-based mission-driven environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Passion for PLN’s mission and commitment to relational, community-centered work.

Salary and Benefits

PLN cares deeply about employees, we offer unlimited PTO and health reimbursement for individuals, married couples, and families. The salary range is $90,000-$100,000.
